I spent years away from home hearing people talk about where I came from, and somewhere along the way, I started to see it through their eyes. Coming back after so long, I wondered how much of what I felt was actually mine and how much had become clouded by other people’s judgments.
I think you’re right, but I like it here. (2026-ongoing) is about learning to look at home again. About the people, places, and small moments of goodness that are easy to miss when a place is reduced to what is wrong with it. I know its complications, but I also know the people I love and the places that made me.
